I have decided to go mad and paint everything in sight. I did some chairs and a table which eventually are to be multicoloured. Sheldon thinks they should stay white but once he has gone...ha ha ha! The covers are by Ms Lamond

Another Foray into Our Neighbourhood
Sheldon will be heading off bak to New York in just over a week so we continue to cram loads of things into the time left.
This morning we went down many a street trying not to go anywhere we've been already. Here are some shots of the still, clear day which yielded a couple of lovely surprises.
The surprises are the two gentlemen at their garden gate. Max Lambert and Darren Yap who we found totally by accident by a turn of a head!!

Have Yourselves a Merry Biggy Christmas
DEAREST READER! Slackness can be forgiven cos tis the season to be jolly. And sad Chrissie decorations can be forgiven cos tis the season to be lazy and tacky.
So this is our jolly, lazy and tacky gift to you
GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU tt and sheldy

Once I had a Secret Park
We noticed a park tucked away in our Blue Mountains neighbourhood. We found some stairs and just followed them down down down. We both were reminded of Inwood Park where I live in NYC.
It was totally deserted and very peaceful

But then we saw...the band shell!
TT has started rehearsing his act. All is lost.

World of Dreams
A visit to the Gold Coast is not complete without a day at one of the many theme parks. We'd already done Warner Bros. Movie World and we were feeling too old and infirm to take on Wet'n'Wild so....
Bring on the giant thongs!!!
The thrill of "Madagascar-Live!"
And posing for a new headshot!
There was only one ride we wanted to go on because it was languid and scenic and didn't shake us about and turn us upside down
However, we were warned that the Log Ride would make us VERY WET!!!
A gentle start....
then an ominous tunnel...
Will we live to regret this??
And splashdown ahead!! Wot larks, Pip!
Then it was on to Tiger Island
These two are brothers who were being kept at a distance from each other by a couple of vigilant handlers in case they started fighting.
This lady lion was on the other side of a wall
And this lion tried to eat Sheldy for lunch
But he has faced greater perils without flinching.

Holidays!!!!
So. SCOUNDRELS has closed is Sydney and there are no plans for a tour in the foreseeable future so Sheldy will be returning to NYC in the new year to hit the audition trail once more. But first...
a short holiday on the Gold Coast where Sheldy has been the patron of the Gold Coast Area Theatre Awards since their inception five years ago. This is the first time he has not been working on a show when the awards are presented so instead of sending his usual video apology he actually fronted up for the event in person.
An exhibition in the Gold Coast Arts Centre foyer displayed the photographs of Harry Jay, theatre photographer of the 50s and 60s. That's Toni Lamond in PAJAMA GAME just above Sheldy's head.
Tikki Taylor in PAJAMA GAME and below, a very young auntie Helen Reddy
On the night of the awards, TT scrubbed up beautifully as always
as did new Surfers Paradise resident, song-and-dance man extraordinaire Jack Webster
and the incomparable musical theatre star Sheila Bradley
Ian Stenlake hosted and the 50 plus awards were interspersed with selections from the nominated shows. Congrats to all!!!!!
