Sydney

The Capitol Theatre in Haymarket has turned pink for our arrival!
The classical statues in the auditorium are bedecked with boas
And Bernadette is the size of a billboard!
We've been doing a ton of press in Sydney
Which sometimes means walking the chilly city streets in the full drag at the crack of dawn.
The ABC did a lovely segment on me for the 7.30 Report

This makeup is beginning to be welded to my face.

Last Week in Melbourne

Our final week in Melbourne saw us passing on the traditional Gypsy Robe to the cast of BEAUTIFUL. Emma Powell, the lucky PRISCILLA honoree and our resident director David Spencer performed the ceremony.

They show off the newly added PRISCILLA patch....
...before bestowing the robe upon the new recipient, Cameron MacDonald.

We shot a new tv commercial in a real pub which will play in all future stops of the tour.

Also this week we had two understudies playing the role of Tick while David Harris was in New York for concert appearances. First up was Haydan Hawkins...

...followed by Tom Handley.
Both were splendid and the fans were delighted with their take on the role.
And then it was time to say goodbye to Melbourne and our fabulous run at the Regent Theatre.  An audience member took this sneaky shot on our closing night.

It seems almost unbelievable that this experience began with a horrible backstage accident which left me in agony with fractured ribs and a lung infection. The human body is astonishingly resilient!!
