(tt) Went downtown to see how the WTC site is going. I had forgotten you need to book online to get into stage one ..The Memorial Pools..which are currently shrouded by hoardings and require a half an hour wait. It was bitterly cold and as usual I was ill prepared so I just kept walking and went right round the site from the southern to the northern edge.
These beautiful buildings are examples of those being eased out in favour of glass and steel.
