We were invited by new friends August Ventura and Robert Osborne to visit their home for the weekend and see Robert perform an evening of Franz Waxman songs from cabaret and film at the upstate Hudson Opera House.
A gorgeous 90 minute train trip along the river took us to Rhinecliff where the boys picked us up and showed us the sights before taking us to the grounds of their lovely summer cottage.
We were sharing with accommodations with two other guests, the delicious Carol Haber and Robert Shattuck, so Sunday breakfast was a spectacular group effort which we didn't contribute to so I became the official event photographer.
We were later joined by neighbor Clara who arrived for the sorrel soup
And a wonderful time was had by all!
