I was thrilled to bits to hear that another Aussie will be opening in a leading role on Broadway the very same week as PRISCILLA. The sensational MiG Ayesa is taking over the role of Stacee Jaxx when ROCK OF AGES reopens after a short hiatus. MiG has been playing the role on tour and this will be his second appearance on the Great White Way after joining BURN THE FLOOR at the end of its Broadway season last year. Considering the role of Stacee Jaxx was created by Will Swenson and is about to be played by Tom Cruise in the movie, it's obviously a coup for MiG. We toured Australia together in FAME back in 1999/2000 and I don't think either of us ever imagined ourselves meeting up again under these circumstances. By the way, MiG met his wife in the FAME cast...the delectable Simone de la Rue...and she recently appeared on Broadway herself as a replacement in PROMISES PROMISES. I tell you, we're gaining ground!!!
