I was invited to the home of Rick Stockwell and Ira Denmark who appeared with my mum in a production of CABARET many years ago in Anaheim, California. The boys win Brownie points for saying that Mum's version of "So What?" as Fraulein Schneider is still the best they've heard.
The other guests included the wonderful Teri Ralston from the original Broadway casts of COMPANY and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and now a beloved teacher at AMDA.
Teri is a new pal and an absolute joy. Also at dinner were the equally delightful Charlotte Booker who appeared with Teri in the original L.A. production of the musical QUILTERS and Neil Koenigsberg, once personal manager to Jeff Bridges, Ed Harris and Ally Sheedy. We ate roast chicken and apple pie (there goes the diet again) and watched selected Lea Michele numbers from GLEE. As you do.
