to catch an exhibition called the Twelve Trees of Christmas. We had hoped it would be a tribute to the long forgotten '30s film star Helen Twelvetrees but were sadly disappointed. And we could only find eleven trees so we can only assume that one was invisible which was either very artistic or we are blind as bats. The first was a glimpse of the future when Christmas trees will be electronic and ornaments will be changed at the touch of a screen...
The second tree was about the Gifts of the Magi. I firmly believe a boy can never have too much Myrrh.
The next tree resembled something tt might have thrown together during a particularly impoverished year. I am told it is called "Kindle". tt probably likes it because it sounds like "Ken Doll".
Then we moved on to the fairy tree which, surprisingly, was full of fairies.
And then we chanced upon the Tinseltown tree....
And then the fashion tree, called Ho Ho Haute Couture...
We'll keep the smart Art Deco tree in mind for future reference...
The Nativity tree was traditional...
Whereas the Pink tree was full of pizzazz and reminded us of our darling Rosie Ashe, the queen of Pink!
It was lunchtime so we decided to leave before we ate the lollies on the tree.
