We were invited to a staged reading of this new musical which has already had successful seasons in Florida and San Diego. Directed by our mate Jeff Calhoun, the wonderful original cast led by Laura Osnes, Jeremy Jordan, Claybourne Elder and Melissa van der Schyff gave a knockout performance in a sort of backer's audition for a possible New York run later this year. It's good stuff so watch out for it. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll cover your ears during the gun shots.
