(tt) I had lunch with Lamond on Friday at a little cafe in the Queen Victoria building which had been earmarked for demoliton in the 80's. Here is the statue that the people of Northern Ireland bequeathed to the City of Sydney. It was bound for the tip.
The splendid Town Hall is behind the tree
The QVB is on the right.
We had a series of evacuation warnings while we noshed but the Asian waitresses just giggled as though they were practical jokes. Lamond called one over and demanded to know ehat was going on "He's just come from New York! These things mean something there!!!"
