We walked along 92nd st from the Y

These buildings are a really beautiful shock. One, they are wooden and two, they are coloured.

Cnr of Park and 92nd

Thanks heavens some people haven't heard of 12th Night

And here we have arrived at the Jewish Museum

where we saw a wonderful exhibition devoted to Harry Houdini.

It was not only full of fantastic photographs and memorabilia and props

but featured art work inspired by his life, profession and obsession with exposing spiritual fakers.

One installation  was by  Matthew Barney

and was a white room with fake moulded plastic draperies and 3 striking photographs. You viewed the contents through a glass door.  There was a perspex coffin with plastic stonework, Casts of Houdini's handcuffs lay on the bottom of the casket and 7 showbreed pigeons were wandering about just pecking, preening  and leaving piles of calling cards all over the lot.
The theme was Death and the power of Nature over all that man creates.
