We went to the Barrow St Theatre to see “Mistakes Were Made” with a stirring performance by Michael Shannon as a put upon theatrical producer on a slide in to purgatorial madness. He was totally brilliant in a play with a few longuers and a bit of far fetched plot but the event was very very well done with a great support from a puppet goldfish. Here are some night shots taken to and from the theatre.
Washington Arch from 4th St
Crossing 7th Ave. That's the Empire State in the distance
How chic is my hat? By the way my blue bowler continues to arouse interest and comment from the masses
Washington Square Hotel
Was this the door where Catherine Sloper heard the frantic knockings of her scoundrel fiance?
The remaining brownstones of the Square
Miss Sloper might have looked out on this very lamp. in its gaslight days
Washington Arch again from the end of Fifth Ave
The tree will soon be amongst the thousands lying in the gutter with the uncollected garbage following the blizzard
