tt went to Galapagos in Main St Brooklyn for an evening of boy acrobat/strippers. The "country hall" looking building hides a very interesting interior ambience
Miss Eve Starr
was our very genial and sharp tongued hostess.
The club was a wrap around space with a gallery. Tables on the main floor were posed in reflective pools.
When I sat down the illusion was that there was another floor below. The smell of chlorine put paid to that
The show was a charming almost clutzy whimsy
with boys mostly from the New School of Trapeze. So there were strips on balls and in the air and on ribbons.
My favourite was a cheeky chap who went on a disrobing fishing trip with many props
The sexiest was Mr Abracadabra who did a magic act with a girl volunteer and a specky strip out of a strait jacket.
A sweet rendition of "Someone To Watch Over Me" had the lost little lamb being led to sexual slaughter by an aerialist wolf
Miss Starr's mimed salute to the Big Apple was a sequined cornucopia of Bassey and Liza and divas I am unable to name. I really love her!
Watch out Brooklyn! She'll eetcha aliiiiiiiiiiiiiive!!!!!
