We took Ms Lamond out last night to a great restaurant on 45th St,Bond 45, which has been an institution in NY for many years. Arrived in Times Square which I realise is so vast and busy that details of or actual buildings keep magically appearing because we didn't take them in on previous visits.
The Lyceum, now host to the show we saw in Toronto
Crossing Fifth Ave. Radio City Music Hall is in the distance
A pastiche poster of the classic kissing couple in Times Square celebrating the end of WW2. This was in the lift going up to Lamond's room
A few views from Lol's hotel room looking out on 45th and through to 46 St

They pass the restaurant that Bobby Van (dancer, MGM featured player and one of the stars of the fiasco "Lost Horizon") opened in 1969. He has long gone to Shangri La.
Our destination, BOND 45
And a great time was had by all. Inside Miss Lamond was introduced to Ted Chapin, now chairman of the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organisation and author of EVERYTHING WAS POSSIBLE, a fantastic book about the creation of the original production of Sondheim's "Follies".
Enjoyment
By the time we got out to grab a cab the rain, hail and snow had pelted 45th St.
What is going on? Why oh why? For heavens sake. I don't know. The weather. What can you do?
Loli looks as if Sheldy has just suggested they have a can of Pal for dinner instead!! Hysterical
