Hilary Knight

Hilary Knight's illustrations are probably best known from Kay Thompson's ELOISE books but he also designed the Broadway posters for NO, No, NANETTE, IRENE, I LOVE MY WIFE and many many others. So what should one wear to an exhibition of his work at Lincoln Centre....?

Most interesting were the first drafts of the posters, often quite different to the finished product, and submissions for projects that ended up with a different designer.
These were gifts for his parents.

    I love Hilary Knight's work. I particularly like my NO, NO, NANETTE and Angela Lansbury in GYPSY posters. Is there a book of the works?

      Not yet. He's written something that's to be published next year but I don't know if it includes the theatre posters.
