At the weekend and at night especially, walking 42nd St between 8th and Broadway is a bit daunting.... wall to wall people and flashing lights and not much opportunity to stop and pop. But today the world was in Times Square watching Broadway on Broadway so I had the opp to quietly look at some beautiful close up glimpses of the street which display it's more elegant past.. In particular the New Amsterdam and the New Victory with its stunning lamps still have detail of their early glory and Madame Tussaud,s hands are tackily impressive.
