The Road to TriBeCa

Found this artwork in the arcade adjoining the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in midtown.
Not sure what it's called, I was harrassed by a security guard so I harrumphed away.
Headed downtown to meet the recently unemployed Keala Settle (HANDS ON A HARDBODY early closing, boo hiss) so had the opportunity to reacquaint myself with the TriBeCa area.

It's down near the water on the West Side
So many warehouses turned into apartments and restaurants
with some interesting looks in between
This one would do
With this on the mantelpiece
And a sea cabana for the beach

Someone looked this gift horse in the mouth and decided to chuck it
We had a splendid dinner at the Greenwich Grill on Greenwich Ave and then made our way to 92Y Tribeca where Michael John La Chiusa was being interviewed about his writings for the theatre, some of which I adore such as HELLO AGAIN and GIANT, and his songs were performed informally by a powerhouse group including Audra Mcdonald, Mary Testa, Carolee Carmello, Andrew Samonsky, Betsy Morgan, Natalie Cortez and Marc Kudisch. Keala, who had never heard his work, was a sobbing wreck. Somebody put her in Mr. La Chiusa's QUEEN OF THE MIST somewhere!!!!
