A cruise on Toronto Harbour

W

While Sheldon was being turned into a cripple during the tech dress of Priscilla I was basking in the Indian summer sun. I walked along the Darling Harbourish wharf. The trees are on the turn.

We waiting passengers were soothed by lush jazz standards and then an amiable commentator with an Irish lilt told us many facts about the harbour and its environs..like it freezes over soon and all the ships get hoisted up on cradles.
We are cruising through two of the fourteen Toronto Islands.  250 homes still shelter tenants all year round. No cars and the ferries are the only link to the mainland. The guide didn't explain what they use to get over when the ice sets in,. The local swans are flocked together and transported to winter quarters. Somewhere behind those trees is a nudist beach.
This is the skyline as we leave the islands behind.
To the strains of Cry Me A River we head back to shore.
