NIAGARA 2 Part 8 The Falls Always Win

Ken decided to search the gift shop where Richard Allen leaves this postcard for Marilyn.
     

    And their song?  

Well that very song that made mad Old Joe smash the 78 at the party -  “Kiss"

This will be what the bells

 will play when the murder is done 

(They take requests)  

 The song serves as their love code and probably their shagging music.

But the fiendish plan is thwarted.  The toyboy goes over the falls.  Marilyn goes to the morgue and sees..... yes - a pile of mince with Richard Allen's face.  She faints dead away.  And it is the ghastly tune that wakes her from her psychotic trance.  Ken was getting the flash that this film could be Julie Tamor's next show after "Spiderman".   She would know how to divert the falls onto the stage of the Hilton Theatre.

 Anyway she realizes that it's her boyfriend and not her husband that has been turned to soggy mulch at the base of the maelstrom.

No. His addled brain whirled its way back to 1953.   Joseph Cotton stalking her through the ornamental garden ....

Her flight from him up he stairs of the bell tower, 

yellow scarf flying behind her

  

the scarf that would mean her end 

and the end of the bells 

 “They won’t ring for you now, Rose”

  All this Ken saw in his hunger to find that wandering spirit.


.It was actually  more food hunger so he decided to walk through the autumn gardens 

 and make his way to the highest point in Niagara

 to the revolting restaurant that goes round.

Once up the scarily desereted escalator he found himself in a vast hall

  empty of joy and totally devoid of a living soul

. This where fun come to die. 

Surely she had not meant him to find her here?    “No!  she wants me to scan Niagara from the heavens. 

 And have an elkburger while I’m at it”

But there was no sign of her from there and the restaurant wanted 35 bucks for a table of tinned potato salad.
So after scanning the horizon 

he decided to return to the welcoming arms of the Visitors Centre

and the dashing interior of

  
Actor Sheldon was there dreaming of Broadway success in the seven colored band above his head as he chewed on chicken stir fry. 

And Ken still peeled his eyes for Her.
