a missed opportunity

(tt) I was really saddened to walk past this little florist. I had kept saying I was going to go in and get a houseplant.  One day a couple of weeks ago I locked eyes with the owner. Then this morning  I saw all the tributes outside and realised that he is no more. He was obviously really loved

It was so strange to feel I was missing someone I had never met.   One day, Cornell...!
