A SATURDAY TREK

(ttt) My bunion took a successful pounding today!  I took a subway from Astor Place down to Battery Park along South St up Catherine and finally north to Union Square. Here are some jollies

Astor Place was buzzing with spring. Here is the Film Academy cafe

 And the lovely subway entrance

This colonial church at the Battery is swallowed by the scrapers above it

The old Maritime Ferry building

Carl Cheng's shadow sculpture of wire. The shadows look wonderful on the spume

That's Brooklyn Bridge behind the preserved clippers at South Pier

The south end of Wall St

Fearless kids

The Peking

This was the pilots cabin of an old vessel

The wonderful Woolworth and Spruce towers

A building in flux

Corner of Peck and Front

A lovely sign on a seafood cafe on Dover and Front

21st century Woody and Diane

The Manhattan Bridge

Chinatown

One of these could have been Rosie Brice's tavern. Yes, it's Henry St.

 East Broadway

Love this cafe front on E 2nd St

  A crazy club

Alberts Garden

This diner was causing a footpath jam

All folks
