Tea, Sympathy and the West Village

This is the near detritus of brunch at the very British "Tea and Sympathy" on Greenwich Ave. Sheldon is shovellin' in a Cornish pasty and mine was a snag 'n' onion sanger. We'll go back another day for the baked beans on toast and spotted dick.
Lots of china and nods to the Royals and the Typhoo in big pots was hot and strong.

Then we wandered back home through the West Village.

Greenwich Ave

Sheldon bought honey chocolate cakes for our dessert!

Devoted solely to recipe books!

Sheldon was whisked back to Paris on this block. Without the garbage.

A jewel box of a shop

On Hudson there is a cafe called Cowgirls with mad dummies in the windows

This free standing house was a real find

Could that be a Barry Blight plate on the left?

Perry and Greenwich

How do you say 'Splash of Drag' in Spanish?

Elegance on 10th just before 5th Ave

And this is ours (one day)

And finally a little synagogue

Brrrrrr  Back home for twilight cuppa.
