Miss Joan Rivers and Tom Otterness Bronzes

We went to see Joan Rivers tonight at the Laurie Beechman

                                                                             Genius!

On the way to see Miss Rivers Sheldon noticed the little bronze figures on the 14th St station  for the first time so I snapped a few.  The installation is called Life Underground and was created in 2001. The creatures  are wonderfully touching in their childlike simplicity but often carry a satiric sting..especially the ones with money sacks for heads.

Mr Otterness was also commissoned to design figures that adorn the entrance to the Hilton on 42nd St
