how mad is mad?

When Yves St Laurent first saw these vases by Jean Dunand it began a lifetime of collecting
After he died his companion, Pierre Berge, had Chrisities auction off his collection to the tune of 13.2 million dollars.  This is the kernel of the fascinating film of M.Laurent's ultimately sad existence..despite his genius
It was fantastic to see sketches and modelled garments that I had drooled over at the YSL retrospective at the Victorian Arts Centre in the late eighties. And also to become inspired by their  retreat in Marakesh.
