Saturday in NYC

I was intrigued to read that the "Times Square Expo" would be taking place on Broadway from 57th to 47th streets today so I thought I'd have a quick squizz before the matinee. Sadly, it turned out to be yet another street fair of the kind one sees every weekend on every other block.
After the matinee, several of us were bundled into a van and driven to Central Park where we performed at the Pride launch. I had visions of thousands of shirtless people cheering, pumping their fists and blowing whistles but it turned out to be an intimate and sedate affair.
Our compere was Ross Matthews who some may know as Ross the Intern from the Jay Leno Tonight Show and the Chelsea Handler show.
Mike McGowan, Will, Nick and our stage manager Glynn David....
Gavin and the fabulous Miss Jacquie...
Gavin, Will, Ashley, Nick & Staci loading up on "Pride Pops"...
Mike, J. Elaine & Gavin...

My beautiful cast with Ross Matthews
and the addition of a painted trollop.
Thanks, Katherine, for the video!

Our stirring rendition of "We Belong" brought cries of 'encore!'
Unfortunately, we didn't have one so we scurried back to our van like guilty children and returned to the Palace for our second show. Lots of mates in the audience which was exciting, a quick supper at Scarlatti's and FINALLY home at 1 a.m.
