Sunday before Follies

(tt) Went for a walk down to Constitution Ave to find The Museum of American History...part of the Smithsonian. On the way I walked through part of the Washington Uni.

Jackie Kennedy, a hippo and a bin

A bikey gathering to honour America's fallen was in preparation for the annual Rolling Thunder parade during which 400,000 bikes trundle through the city. The variety of folk it attracts is evident here

Was going to do my Pee Wee "Tequila Dance" but  rethought.

America the Beautiful

The memorial

The Museum

Homage to Julia Child.
The Smithsonian houses the reconstructed kitchen of America's most loved cook. It is wonderfully designed in that they have made glass cubicles where the larders had their doors and from there you can almost feel you are in. Having seen the Streep/Adams film made it even more interesting.

In the film Amy Adams leaves something for Julia..is it a copy of her book?..anyway, this is where she puts it

Any camper?

Yes

  1. Hi Tony(s)! It was a pack of butter left by Amy Adams in the movie.
