twilight in the meat packing district

(tt) Went to see "The Beginners" starring two of my fave actors, Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer.

And because it was so warm and still light after I went home, grabbed my camera and a 14th St bus to try and catch the last light.

The wonderful Highline which is soon to open its extension to W30th St

The hotel that spans the Highline

A classic

Remnants of a magnificent Chelsea pier
This is actually the remains of the White Star Line pier  54 where the Titanic was due to dock in April 1912!

A closed store

All the boites were rocking

The very end of the Highline

An orchid boutique

And here is the famous abandoned "Florent" looking exactly as it was but without the classic signage. And on either side are ritzy designed-to-the-max nosheries. I bet they don't last as long.

A brand new apartment building to open this month at 8th Ave and W14th
