tt) We were invited to the opening of this classic revival..helmed once again by Baayork Lee. The Capitol was the venue.
From across the road we spotted Hugh Sheridan, host of the soon to be aired, "I Will Survive" reality show. The winner will get some cash and a chance to sing ....somewhere.
Once inside we saw or chatted to several vets of past CHORUS LINE productions including Angela Ayres (Maggie), Mariette Rups-Donnelly (Val), David Atkins (Mike), Ronne Arnold (Richie) from the original 1977 version, and Rohan Seinor (Al) and Wayne Scott Kermond (Mike) from the '93 revival.
This new staging is terrific if a little robotic. Lovely work from mates in the cast including Deborah Krizak as Sheila and Anita Combe as Cassie.
Looking forward to seeing the Paper Mill production in October with PRISCILLA's Kyle Brown as Greg!
