This huge building was the home of the National Biscuit Company for many years. Goodies of all kinds and the tins they came in were all produced here. It's history is acknowledged by display cases featuring some of the classic staples of the American diet (some of which have spread further) and preservation of the beautiful original stone, wood and pipework.
The confection that was featured in a joke once delivered by Bernadette in "P". It centered around a foreskin. The producers didn't like it so it was cut. The joke, I mean.
A very impressive temple of gastronomic consumerism. And the one thing that links these stores to the original Nabisco factory.... sugar, sugar, sugar. Oh, and fat!
