Actually I enjoyed his performance immensely. He was as charismatic as a very talented but not-at-all precocious baby.
The end of Act One
Elena Roger played her as a genuine innocent slowly discovering the power of her ambition as she achieved it. When she 'turned' it was a marvellous shock. Michael Cerveris was great too.
The cost of the set and lighting could feed the poor of Buenos Aires
