Re Joyce

The de-lovely Joyce Breach (centre in blue shawl)  headlined a Midtown Jazz lunchtime concert at St Peter's Church today with the sublime Warren Vache on trumpet, Lisle Atkinson on bass and Frank Owens on piano.
tt was in raptures to hear some of his favourite songs including "Somone to Light Up My Life" and "Why Did I Choose You?" There were also some celebs in the house including cabaret performers Eric Comstock and Maud Hixson, and composers Michael Leonard and Richard Rodney Bennett.
tt was emboldened to congratulate Mr. Bennett on his fine film score for "Far From the Madding Crowd".
Afterwards we took Joyce and her sister, Sonny (visiting from Gettysburg) to a bang up lunch at stylish
Italian noshery BiCE.

Joyce will be singing at St Peter's again this Monday night at a memorial for jazz singer Barbara Lea and will also be receiving an honour at this year's Bistro Awards at the end of the month.
