(tt)   Deidre and I went to the final day of the visiting  Schaubuhne Berlin production of the Ibsen classic. It was 2 hours of fascinating psychological warfare updated to the present in a glass and chrome house which revolved. some of the action was caught via a suspended mirror which allowed the audience to view the characters from offstage or in multiple rooms. The ending was a triumph in that because the disturbed Hedda has been seen wilfully shooting her pistol at household objects when she kills herself the other characters have no idea she is dead. The set revolves, they continue their lives and Hedda sits in a pool of blood.
