Shameful
(tt) The peaceful tent village which was part of the global reaction to corporate greed at Melbourne Square was raided and dismantled today by the City Council aided by the police. Freedom to protest is being threatened. The shadow of fascism has never entirely gone away since the days of Menzies and Bolte.
Now it's all tidy for Her Majesty to drive past. She'll still see the Swanston St souvenir shops and Hungry Jacks which are far more horrible.

I loved both your entry before about the dinner and the entry after this about the run through but this entry made me laugh because they "cleaned" it up but left one of those hideous statues there ... see you soon xx
