(tt) Sheldon took me out today. I love being made to go somewhere with no decisions. We walked parallel to Broadway down West End Ave and found the most wonderful buildings.
This is the main entrance to Apthorp... a condominium building with a 6 million dollar plus asking price per unit. It stood on the site of a farm from which it took its name. Here is the original house before it was demolished in 1891
Pacino and O'Donnell have lived here in their time.
"Well, bully for Bixby!" ( that is for Tom Blair)
This is the only remaining block on the Avenue with its original low rise storeys
Another original home...a bit spookeee
This one survived by a miracle
Around 65th or so the Avenue opens out into sixties and seventies schlock apartments and schools
Looking back towards whence we'd trudged.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!! Thanks darlings!
